Brainspotting

What IS Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a trauma intervention that helps people connect their brain with their bodies during processing. The goal is to lessen the effect of their symptoms and increase functionality. Some people see results after the first session, though typically people have several sessions or longer sessions, especially if they have complex trauma.

It may be easier to have the creator explain it himself! This short video features Dr. David Grand discussing Brainspotting at a talk.

In a session with me, I will anwer any questions you may have. Then I will work with you to find your best eye position to process for what we are doing that day. Your brain will do most of the heavy-lifting, and I am there to quietly support. We will either schedule time during the same session to talk about what came up during Brainspotting or we will set aside a separate session to talk about it.

What are your qualifications?

I attended Phase 1 training in February 2023 and Phase 2 in October 2023 in Indianapolis. I am currently working toward certification in consultation with advanced Brainspotting specialists.
